the north
north korea has tested successfully a small yield, but nonetheless, nuclear warhead. shocking the international community. now, it boldly declares a threat of violence against the US.
Quote from AP:
Along the razor-wired no-man's-land separating the divided Koreas, communist troops on the North's side were more boldly trying to provoke their Southern counterparts: spitting across the demarcation line, making throat-slashing hand gestures, flashing their middle finger and trying to talk to the troops, said U.S. Army Maj. Jose DeVarona of Fayetteville, N.C.
they now want to test a nuclear tipped missile, aboveground.
imagine the balls on those guys, what the hell? have they taken a look at the world map? at their size and the size of the US? or Russia? or China? China announced that it felt 'betrayed' by its supposed ally, due to this nuclear test.
Quote from AFP:
A defiant North Korea has warned that it would regard harsh sanctions over its nuclear test as a declaration of war and threatened further trials if the United States kept up its pressure.

myself personally, i support North Korea in this, they are the only ones who have the balls to stand up against the crowd, i mean fuck US. what right do they have to tell other countries what to do? but then again, lets be objective instead of emotional, which country in asia has nuclear weapons? not counting China though. how will asia fare? can we stand up to a military North Korea?
Quote from Baltimore Sun:
In the hours after North Korea said it had detonated a nuclear bomb in an underground test Monday, Northeast Asia seemed quiet. But the quiet was deceptive. The warships of two heavily armed U.S. Navy expeditionary strike groups are on station in the South China Sea and in the waters off Okinawa, where about 14,500 Marines are stationed within range of North Korean missiles.
All of Northeast Asia, encompassing North and South Korea, Japan, China and Russia, has long been heavily militarized, not with the small arms and deadly suicide bombs of Iraq, but rather with huge armies, fortified and mined borders and heavy, long-range weapons systems.
As long as Seoul and Tokyo feel confident of U.S. protection, they can safely remain non-nuclear powers.
history has shown that no country will go to war for another country, not in a million years. how do you think this changes for nuclear weapons? if it was so simple, the US would have long ago used the North as a nuclear tipped cruise missile test site, prolly people could live there again in another 10000 years, but no, its not so simple. so how can South Korea and Japan feel safe with a nuclear North, when they already are so militarized, despite US 'protection'?
i think there'll be a war. i hope it doesnt end with in the read flames of 'the cloud'.
